Trailer Drops for Apartment 7A
A first look at the much anticipated prequel to Roman Polanski’s 1968 horror classic Rosemary’s Baby
Recently I had the privilege of working on Apartment 7A in a London based studio.
Set in 1965, 3 years prior to the legendary horror classic Rosemary’s Baby, Apartment 7A explores what happened in the infamous Bramford Building before Rosemary moved in.
Terry Gionoffrio (Jennifer Garner Ozark, Inventing Anna), an ambitious young dancer, dreams of fame and fortune in New York City. After a devastating injury threatens her ambitions, she is welcomed into the home of an older, wealthy couple (Dianne Wiest and Kevin McNally), in the prestigious Bamford apartment building.
When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer Alan Marchand (Jim Sturgess Cloud Atlas, Geostorm) offers her a second chance at fame, Terry dares to believe that all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realises that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.
As the dark forces begin to draw her in, the stage is set for a truly terrifying psychological thriller befitting the iconic 1968 classic it precedes.
A Paramount+ original movie in association with Paramount Pictures, Apartment 7A is a Platinum Dunes / Sunday Night Production. Natalie Erika James (Relic) directed from her script written with Christian White and Skylar James, which is based on a screen story by James, as well as Ira Levin’s classic novel Rosemary’s Baby. Additional supporting cast includes Marli Siu (Everything I Know About Love), Andrew Buchan (All the Money in the World), Rosy McEwen (Blue Jean) and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Wonka).
John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller produced, with Vicki Dee Rock and Alexa Ginsburg serve as executive producers.
